• I believe our homes should be inspiring and beautiful spaces in which to work, live and rejuvinate and I’m passionate about making thoughtful and durable homeware to fit any budget.

I create small batch collections of coil and slab built vessels which I design, make and fire in my Clunes home studio. Accessible, contemporary and simple decor to personalise your home, engage the senses and invest the ordinary moments in your day with belonging.

  • Wabi Sabi is a Japanese aesthetic and philosophical concept that celebrates the beauty of imperfection, impermanence and simplicity. It places value on the natural, aging and weathered quality of objects and embraces the idea that nothing is ever truely permanent or perfect. Wabi Sabi has deep roots in Zen Buddhism, emphasising mindfulness and acceptance of the present moment.

The Wabi Sabi way resonates with me because it alligns with sustainable practices by favouring items that age gracefully and have a longer lifespan, reducing the need for constant consumption and disposal. It reminds me to live harmoniously with the natural world by working with materials that can’t harm and despoil the earth. It’s focus on minimalism and unadorned beauty supports me in my search for a simpler and more meaningful existence.

My forms and glazes have a rough, textured appearance, accentuating the natural qualities of the medium. I maintain a minimal, uncomplicated aesthetic by reducing my forms to their essential cubic elements and using tones from the natural world. I’m interested in sourcing and learning about wild clay and hope in the future to work predominantly with found clay and glaze materials sourced from the region in which I live. My creative life goal is to fire my work in a woodfire kiln that I build on my own property.
